Human Rights Committees: Their nature and legal relevance in Spain

Abstract

This article analyses the state of the enforcement mechanisms of human rights treaties, frequently constituted as "committees", evaluating the effectiveness of their resolutions and their incidence in Spain. In particular, a more in-depth examination of the Human Rights Committee, the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW Committee) will be carried out.
